My friend and fellow musician Ilias has brought out a beautiful co-creation album under the name ili and the Black Sails (a project you can read more about here), and I so happen to feature on 2 tracks. I am very grateful and happy to have taken part in this piece of art, as I didn’t only participate musically but also had the privilige to cocreate the back-cover of the CD. On the backcover you can see just how many people took part making this album. The front art is a made by SOWL, AHMAT and Melamint. The backcover by J.Bloom and Melamint.

After listening to this track, take a listen to the whole album! It is an interesting and thought provoking enjoyable journey, that started back in 2019 when my friend Ilias were travelling in the transportable Van studio BTW, all the way down to Morocco from Berlin, recording and making music on the way.

The Kontumaz Album from ili and the Black Sails was recorded and produced in Berlin as well as on the road, and in many different places and states of mind. First of all in a state of Corona lockdown, and second of all in a soulsearching travellers state on the verge of arriving home, but somehow never really getting there. In the end the question remains, what or where is home?

In other news I am living it up in Berlin, taking it easy after some months in the mountains where I enjoyed a good healing rest. I am working on different projects, yet it will take some time before anything gets published.
