Social & Collective Creation
Music & art lives in all of us. You don’t need any special training or talent to create and play. Yet so many of us have been conditioned to believe creative exploration is a forbidden area only accesible to some, when in fact music is an innate part of all humans. Growing 9 months in the womb, we listen to our parent’s heartbeat with our whole body, the steady drum of our lives. Music is a birthright, just like any other form of creation is.
Through music, art, dancing, creating and singing we can learn to talk with our own subconcious wisdom, and also communicate with others in a non-verbal and profound way. When we create together, a bond is created which is far beyond our names, place of birth or identity. We connect through feeling and expressing. Just like we can feel connected to a painter by looking at their artpiece, it moves something inside of us beyond words. When we open up this creative space together with others (or alone), it becomes possible to connect with vulnurabilites and hidden parts of us in a safe(r) way, which feels less intimidating than if we tried to have a conversation around these topics.

Basically, art and music are powerful tools of healing, both individually and collectively, but most people have learned to fear the very things that can set them free, saying things like “I can’t hit a note even if I tried”, “I am not good enough to play anything in front of others”, or “I can’t even hold a pencil right”. These are words I have heard countless times, and everytime it hurts my soul. Because within the very essence of these sentences, lays a sentiment, that the only time you are allowed to express yourself through music or art, is if it is beautiful to others. It needs to be pretty, it has to be special, it has to be SOMETHING. When in fact, it needs to be nothing else than an experience. It is such a valuable thing to sing or play. Singing is proven to have health benifits for all people, regulating the body and mind. It is even proven that we feel more empathy for people we have song together with. These (and many more) factors should be reason enough, to sing everyday. Dance everyday. Play and paint. These creative tools are there to support us, to connect with others, to grow empathy and teach us to relate to our own psyches in a different way. For this reason, I am commited to create spaces where people can safely explore their creativity.
I believe we can set enormous powers of love and freedom free in this world by uniting people with themselves and each other through sound and colour.
WORKSHOPS, CREATION SPACE AND TEACHING
Musically I offer workshops and teaching of self-expression and experimentation, especially with focus on being lose, relaxed and developing a comfortable and empowering experience within the musical space.
I have more than 7 years of experience teaching and giving workshops. Guitar lessons, giving hiphop (rap) and music workshops in schools, refugee-shelters, afterschool clubs or activist groups, to all ages.
Working with Jugendkunstpaten eV. in Berlin, I have participated in creating wonderful intercultural spaces of exchange and creative exploration. But also I have worked on several projects by myself and with my friends, that work in the direction of social change and healing through music and sound.
GATHERINGS, EXCHANGE AND CREATION
Through the years I have together with others organised and participated in different DIY projects and activistic efforts to create change through music and art.
