Welcome to Black Sail Sound, we are an emerging, ever changing group, in a motion of becoming. Black Sail Sound is an initiative by ili Os that I, among others, are co-creating and participating in. We are creating audio-visual art, as well as serving as a platform for others to do so.

Summer 2023 has been filled with amazing moments, as we sailed the seas (metaphorically), touring around north Germany as an interdisciplinary playground to try out new and exciting things. We have played a few gigs with our own songs, but in cooperation with a Katharina Schmelting aka Cutterfly, we were not only a musical performance, but a visual experience as well. Katha created amazing costumes and visuals, bringing another dimension to the show.

Black Sail Sound is an artivistic interactive sonic-visual space created by people who are temporarily sharing life together. Black Sail Sound strives to create a positive socio-ecological impact through music and art. Depending on -who, where and how- the concept/collective/network/space/session may take different forms.

Musically Black Sail Sound move in a genre fluid solar punk space, where visual aspects like fire shows, theatrical elements, shadow-theater and other interactive projections are part of the experience.
